L’homme sans image

« A sail is an instrument for pushing through the wind, looking for a direction. It is also a flag, an idea, a reference,

Enrique Ramirez clings onto his work like a man clings to his boat in the midst of a raging sea, looking for a new horizon, far from any certainty. For him, art is an act of resistance, persistence. Somewhere between poetic fiction and documentary realism, he encourages his spectators to shift their gaze off-centre, to change course, to rethink our way of being in the world, to stop the future relentlessly repeating itself, inseparable from the past.
